BACK TO WORK 2022 - (Brighton)

The Gaydio Academy is delivering an employability project called Back To Work 2022 thanks to funding from LLC (London Learning Consortium) for jobless people from the Coast to Capital region. The project will help 35 people find secure employment and/or training and will include radio and work skills training, peer support and mentoring, one-to-one support, work experience and volunteering opportunities.

Each round of training will involve 5 fun radio and work skills training sessions at a Brighton venue, with sessions likely to be offered intensively over a single week.

Course Layout

  1. Introduction to radio and how to become a radio presenter

  2. Radio advert creation

  3. CV skills workshop

  4. Job search skills

  5. One-to-one session exploring next stage progression tailored to your specific needs

  6. Guest speakers chat you through the advice you need in Fianance & Job Seeking

  7. The chance to create a radio show that will go out to our listeners
